Call it the Drive to Survive effect, or a mild autumn, or the astute stewardship of its leaders, but this year’s Australian Grand Prix transfixed Melbourne like none in recent memory. And the nation’s most festival-loving bizoids are nothing if not fashionable.
They flocked bright and early to Albert Park’s Paddock Club, whose various suites were full by 2pm.
