The relentless rise of Australian house prices
House prices are on the march again this month. The latest data, released this week, shows that prices are rising at an annualised rate of over 7 per cent.
Compared to recent housing booms this is nothing flashy. But with interest rates higher than they have been in more than 12 years, prices probably shouldn’t be rising at all.
