‘I would go tomorrow’: MPs fear veto on Ukraine trip

Senior politicians fear that timid foreign affairs bureaucrats could stymie an invitation for them to visit Ukraine on a fact-finding mission to swap intelligence and show solidarity with the war-torn nation.
The chairman of Ukraine’s parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, wrote to members of the Australian parliament’s powerful joint intelligence and security committee in early March, inviting them to visit, The Australian Financial Review can reveal.
