Property developers in Perth say prohibitive construction costs and labour shortages mean new projects can’t get off the ground as the city’s housing crisis worsens.
With vacancy rates hovering at around 0.4 per cent, and an average of 220 people moving to Western Australia each day, many high-density developments have been approved, but developers are reluctant to push the button.
