Reading Patrick Durkin’s report on Richard Goyder (“Richard Goyder counts down the days at Woodside, Qantas, and the AFL”), one can only wish him well for his future ventures and or adventures.
However, as he rides off into the sunset, one cannot leave uncontested his claim that he tried to do the best for the companies under his chairmanship. Among a host of examples, there are two that demonstrate his reasoning simply does not match his rhetoric.
